bright and roomy tote plant dyed and hand painted linen vegetable tanned, beeswaxed leather straps, logo tag, and closure. this heavyweight linen is from an 80 year old eco oriented mill in europe. i use linen because it is a clean, naturally anti-microbial fiber. growing flax and weaving it into linen fabric is a very sustainable process, and always has been. this linen has a great smooth texture and takes the plant dye very well it is hand painted painted with grey-blue and white leaves, and features textured vertical "stems" and orange topstitching. the leather straps are hand cut and waxed with beeswax from a beekeeper down the road from my house. i make my own blend of beeswax and plant oils to coat the leather and make it almost waterproof. it will develop a beautiful patina over the years. straps, sides, and logo tag are secured with nickel rivets. rivets are finished on both ends, and are secured with leather "washers" for durability. the tote is lined with pure plant dyed linen/canvas. there are 3 wall pockets, one big enough for a moleskine notebook. 2 interior riveted loops for holding your key hook, or clipping on a pouch 15" wide, 12" tall, strap drop 13" tote is hand dyed and painted, so color and pattern will vary. please allow about 2-3 weeks for me to make your tote. I will ship outside the U.S., just contact me for a shipping quote/details.

I am an industrial designer with a home workshop near Philadelphia, PA. I am a mother of two little boys, and a maker of things whenever I have a free hand.
I work with natural materials to create functional and meaningful pieces that will last a lifetime or longer. I allow the natural materials to "be themselves," or I let their natural characteristics become the character of the finished piece.
My pieces are sold in local boutiques and museum shops, as well as online.
