roomy and sturdy organic hand painted canvas tote. a functional/wearable painting. heavyweight (10 oz) canvas. hand painted watercolor in pastel shades of pale pink, yellow, and turquoise, which run together to create purple and green. the leather straps are hand cut and waxed with beeswax from a beekeeper down the road from my house. i make my own blend of beeswax and plant oils to coat the leather and make it almost waterproof. it will develop a beautiful patina over the years. a leather logo tag is riveted to the front of the bag blue zig zag stitching at edges straps are secured with rivets and backed with leather "washers" for extra strength the tote is painted inside as well. there is a large wall pocket, attached with tiny rivets. stitched sides, reinforced with rivets. 13" wide, 13" tall, strap drop 12" tote is handpainted, so pattern will vary. please allow about 2-3 weeks for me to make your tote. I am an industrial designer with a home workshop near Philadelphia, PA. I am a mother of two little boys, and a maker of things whenever I have a free hand.

I work with natural materials to create functional and meaningful pieces that will last a lifetime or longer. I allow the natural materials to "be themselves," or I let their natural characteristics become the character of the finished piece.
