Eddie -- The Mohair Vintage Bear

$65

This is Eddie, a carefully stitched and embroidered bear is made from Steiff-Schulte mohair and stuffed with eco-poly fibers and fabric scrap. With eyes that are sky blue, ears that are lined with Liberty of London cotton lawn fabric, and a fully jointed body, Eddie is a perfect heirloom toy that could last for generations. He comes with an organic leather riveted tag (hand stamped with the "Arden and James" logo), an organic leather collar with rivets, and an option to customize his leather collar with any name/text that you want for an additional $5. Although he only measures about 10" tall, Eddie sure loves to help fix things! He loves tools and always wants to see things get done! Eddie is just perfect for little hands and may easily fit into your purse, but he also can be made larger if requested. Since Eddie is also made to order and we do not use patterns, your Eddie will be unique. Please allow lead time of 2 weeks to make Eddie and ship him to you.

I am an industrial designer with a home workshop near Philadelphia, PA. I am a mother of two little boys, and a maker of things whenever I have a free hand.

I work with natural materials to create functional and meaningful pieces that will last a lifetime or longer. I allow the natural materials to "be themselves," or I let their natural characteristics become the character of the finished piece.

My pieces are sold in local boutiques and museum shops, as well as online.
