Rag Doll With Vintage Fabric Dress

$45

Rag dolls have been around a long time. These dolls were originally made by mothers from scraps of fabric and cotton lying around the house. Inspired by this, I make rag dolls made from high quality materials that are simple, yet easy to maintain. These dolls can last a lifetime, and may even be handed down to your next generation. A lot of detail goes into these dolls. Faces are hand-painted, hair is applied by hand, and the dress the doll wears is hand-stitched from vintage floral cotton fabrics. Each doll is guaranteed to be unique! These Rag Dolls stand about 15" tall, and their arms span a distance of 12". The head is 2.5" in diameter, and the body is 3" wide in some areas. Their legs are about 7.5" long, and arms extend about 6.5".

I am an industrial designer with a home workshop near Philadelphia, PA. I am a mother of two little boys, and a maker of things whenever I have a free hand.

I work with natural materials to create functional and meaningful pieces that will last a lifetime or longer. I allow the natural materials to "be themselves," or I let their natural characteristics become the character of the finished piece.

My pieces are sold in local boutiques and museum shops, as well as online.
