This red oak kitchen table sits in our home. This table is slightly shorter than a pub style and was designed specifically with the dimensions of the space between the kitchen cooking area and the living room. Two chairs fit on each side of the table and when we need any additional chairs, one fits on each end as well, seating six very comfortably. The granite table top matches the kitchen counters and there is also granite on the foot rests which are intentionally designed on both sides of the table. The position of the foot rest is parallel with the bottom rung of the chair, for the forward part of the foot to comfortably rest upon. The style of this table is contemporary. The table is made entirely of solid oak boards, which are laminated to make panels surrounding an inner framework of 2 x 4 construction. I worked with a local granite fabricator, who gladly made the three pieces that I requested for this table.
The cost that I am quoting is ONLY for the wooden table base and does not include the granite table top or the granite foot rests, one on each side, as that would have to be custom ordered by the buyer and installed by someone after the wood base is delivered. Also, the variation of price depends upon the type of domestic U.S wood chosen. If you are looking for an exotic, the price would need to be reflective of that wood type and availability.
We will include the delivery in the cost of the table base, if the client is within one hour of Sharpsburg, GA, where we live.
Thank you.
Denny and Claudia Debner
Debner Fine Art and Furniture
For over four decades, we have enjoyed making award winning fine art, including oil painting, custom furniture and leather work.
Claudia studied the old masters styles of drawing and painting at The Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. She paints with feeling and passion with a specialization in two particular styles of combined impressionistic and abstract oil painting as well as still life. Her style has a bit of a whimsical feeling to it and her goal is to show the joy that she feels when she sees how God has created nature that she paints.
Denny uses lumber from local suppliers and saw mills. He has chosen to fill a market niche by utilizing reclaimed or lumber from trees from his customers that they find to be sentimental or historical in their families.
He looks for opportunities to work with clients who desire a new and fresh design in their furniture and leather work. All of these areas allow for a way to fill a need that often is not available in the retail market. For example, the picture of the kitchen table made of oak and granite were not available either in size or of materials and led to the chance to develop them both for personal use as well as for availability to customers who are interested.
Leather and wood furniture are especially great projects to work on with our clientele and we look forward to each persons ideas and input as we build together.
Thank you very much for considering working with us on your Custom Made project.
If we could give Debner Fine Art and Furniture 10 stars we would!!! We were in the market for an oversized end grain walnut cutting board. We had no luck finding this through big box stores. We did a search and found Debner Fine Art and Furniture. How lucky were we!! We reached out, got an immediate response, and described what we were looking for. We exchanged emails and inspiration pictures to get a quote. We then quickly went into production on our board. We were so impressed by the communication and collaboration. Our board was delivered today and just WOW!!! The craftsmanship and value are superior! This is truly an heirloom piece! Denny and Claudia were great to work with. Clearly they have great pride in their work, are extremely knowledgeable and talented!
Working with Denny was a great experience. He was sincerely committed to ensure I was happy and comfortable through all stages of concept, design and final product. I would HIGHLY recommend Debner Fine Art and Furniture. Outstanding work and reasonably priced, especially considering it to be a custom piece. Thank you, Denny! I am trying to think of other projects to send your way!
Over the years, I refined my idea for my perfect knife block. Exasperated with the ones I had, I looked for a custom woodworker and found Denny online. I am so very happy with what he made me. Essentially two knifeblocks, they are absolutely gorgeous! I now have a perfect home for all my knives. Denny was great at communicating throughout the process. He also sent interim photos and included cutting board wax to keep the knifeblocks beautiful for years to come. I wholeheartedly recommend Debner Fine Art and Furniture. It was such a pleasure working with Denny and I couldn't be more happy with my knifeblocks.
Wonderful experience! Very good communication and wonderful craftsmanship.
The Debners did a great job. I ordered a knife block. They live 30 minutes from me so I was able to bring my knives to them and they made custom slots for me. They were in constant communication and never failed to deliver on there promises. Complete satisfaction.
