Contemporary Day Bed

$2,500

I was asked to provide a daybed design for a painting studio. The posts are made of 2 1/2 inch x 3 inch ash, which provided support for the rails and slats, which are made of poplar. As this bed will be painted, the poplar grain will easily accept this type of finish. It is a fun project to make and if you are interested, I would gladly make it or modify this design to meet your needs. The interior mattress support size of the day bed is 39 inches wide x 81 inches long. The mattress is 9 1/2 inches thick by 38 inches wide x 80 inches long. Please note that I have uploaded pictures that show before and after the final finishing of three coats of varnish. The cost of this daybed varies, depending upon the chosen type of domestic wood. If you wish to use an exotic type of wood, it will be adjusted according to the cost of materials. If you need this bed shipped, the cost will be added on, according to the distance it is to be shipped. If you live in the Atlanta area, it will be delivered for a $100.00 fee.

This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.

For over four decades, we have enjoyed making award winning fine art, including oil painting, custom furniture and leather work.

Claudia studied the old masters styles of drawing and painting at The Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. She paints with feeling and passion with a specialization in two particular styles of combined impressionistic and abstract oil painting as well as still life. Her style has a bit of a whimsical feeling to it and her goal is to show the joy that she feels when she sees how God has created nature that she paints.

Denny uses lumber from local suppliers and saw mills. He has chosen to fill a market niche by utilizing reclaimed or lumber from trees from his customers that they find to be sentimental or historical in their families.

He looks for opportunities to work with clients who desire a new and fresh design in their furniture and leather work. All of these areas allow for a way to fill a need that often is not available in the retail market. For example, the picture of the kitchen table made of oak and granite were not available either in size or of materials and led to the chance to develop them both for personal use as well as for availability to customers who are interested.

Leather and wood furniture are especially great projects to work on with our clientele and we look forward to each persons ideas and input as we build together.

Thank you very much for considering working with us on your Custom Made project.
