Cherry Jewelry Box With Spalted Maple And Pecan Accent
We were requested to make a customized jewelry box (tower) for a client's sister for a surprise birthday present. This jewelry box is made of both refined cherry wood as well as accented with spalted maple in the cover and two side doors and spalted pecan was used for each of the five pullout drawers and the top false drawer. The drawer pulls are made of cherry and attached with two dowels to each drawer front. The measurements on this box are six inches deep (front to back), 10 3/4 inches wide and 21 inches high to the top of the cover. The cover or lid also has a mirror inside of it so that it can be used when it is opened. The two side doors enclose dowels to be used to hang necklaces, rings, etc. If you wish to have a similar box or tower made, we would be glad to work with you on the design. The wood type can be altered as well as the dimensions. Thank you for your interest in having a custom made box made. It can also be made for other uses, i.e. watches or collectibles.

For over four decades, we have enjoyed making award winning fine art, including oil painting, custom furniture and leather work.
Claudia studied the old masters styles of drawing and painting at The Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. She paints with feeling and passion with a specialization in two particular styles of combined impressionistic and abstract oil painting as well as still life. Her style has a bit of a whimsical feeling to it and her goal is to show the joy that she feels when she sees how God has created nature that she paints.
Denny uses lumber from local suppliers and saw mills. He has chosen to fill a market niche by utilizing reclaimed or lumber from trees from his customers that they find to be sentimental or historical in their families.
He looks for opportunities to work with clients who desire a new and fresh design in their furniture and leather work. All of these areas allow for a way to fill a need that often is not available in the retail market. For example, the picture of the kitchen table made of oak and granite were not available either in size or of materials and led to the chance to develop them both for personal use as well as for availability to customers who are interested.
Leather and wood furniture are especially great projects to work on with our clientele and we look forward to each persons ideas and input as we build together.

I can't believe what beautiful craftsmanship - the dovetail joints were so intricately placed and the beeswax finish gives it a smooth, clean look. It is so nice to have this handmade caddy to put our tools in - (so much better than the old plastic container)!
