Family Chessboard
This chessboard was designed by our grandson. The squares measure 2.25 inches. He requested the top to be hinged so that there is a storage area inside to place both the light and dark colored chess pieces. I finished the chessboard with several coats of a very durable varnish, sealing the natural coloration of the mahogany and sycamore wood. Drawers can also be an option for storage, eliminating the need to hinge the top and bottom of the chessboard. I am open to your suggestions of design and wood type. Please allow a minimum of eight weeks for me to custom build it for you.

Debner Fine Art and Furniture
For over four decades, we have enjoyed making award winning fine art, including oil painting, custom furniture and leather work.
Claudia studied the old masters styles of drawing and painting at The Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. She paints with feeling and passion with a specialization in two particular styles of combined impressionistic and abstract oil painting as well as still life. Her style has a bit of a whimsical feeling to it and her goal is to show the joy that she feels when she sees how God has created nature that she paints.
Denny uses lumber from local suppliers and saw mills. He has chosen to fill a market niche by utilizing reclaimed or lumber from trees from his customers that they find to be sentimental or historical in their families.
He looks for opportunities to work with clients who desire a new and fresh design in their furniture and leather work. All of these areas allow for a way to fill a need that often is not available in the retail market. For example, the picture of the kitchen table made of oak and granite were not available either in size or of materials and led to the chance to develop them both for personal use as well as for availability to customers who are interested.
Leather and wood furniture are especially great projects to work on with our clientele and we look forward to each persons ideas and input as we build together.

We had no luck finding this through big box stores. We did a search and found Debner Fine Art and Furniture. How lucky were we!! We reached out, got an immediate response, and described what we were looking for. We exchanged emails and inspiration pictures to get a quote. We then quickly went into production on our board. We were so impressed by the communication and collaboration. Our board was delivered today and just WOW!!! The craftsmanship and value are superior! This is truly an heirloom piece!
