Spalted Live Edge Waterfall Edge Pecan Coffee Table With Cherry Laminated Strips

$2,500

This spalted live edge pecan table with a waterfall edge was enjoyable to build. The pecan slab was about 36 inches wide, in it's original tree. In order to create this table, it was necessary to cut the slab into sections for the top and the two legs. Each section was further cut into sub-sections and planed, to create the flatness required of two inches in thickness. Cherry lumber was cut and laminated in between these cut sections and then the 45 degree waterfall edge was cut to make the legs come together with the table top in uniformity. The table dimensions are 36" long x 18" high x 36" wide on one end and 28" wide on the other end of the coffee table. It was finished with an extremely durable satin varnish that has also has a sealer within each coat to bring out the grain of the wood. Each table that we make is unique in it's grain. When possible, we purchase these tree slabs from local or regional sawyers and hand pick each one to meet our criteria. The price of each table varies, depending upon the source of materials.

This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.

For over four decades, we have enjoyed making award winning fine art, including oil painting, custom furniture and leather work.

Claudia studied the old masters styles of drawing and painting at The Atelier in Minneapolis, MN. She paints with feeling and passion with a specialization in two particular styles of combined impressionistic and abstract oil painting as well as still life. Her style has a bit of a whimsical feeling to it and her goal is to show the joy that she feels when she sees how God has created nature that she paints.

Denny uses lumber from local suppliers and saw mills. He has chosen to fill a market niche by utilizing reclaimed or lumber from trees from his customers that they find to be sentimental or historical in their families.

He looks for opportunities to work with clients who desire a new and fresh design in their furniture and leather work. All of these areas allow for a way to fill a need that often is not available in the retail market. For example, the picture of the kitchen table made of oak and granite were not available either in size or of materials and led to the chance to develop them both for personal use as well as for availability to customers who are interested.

Leather and wood furniture are especially great projects to work on with our clientele and we look forward to each persons ideas and input as we build together.

Thank you very much for considering working with us on your Custom Made project.
