Nested Mixing Bowl Set

Three or four wheel-thrown stoneware pottery mixing bowls that nest together, with a small pouring spout on each. This design has a simple leaf pattern wrapping around the outside of each, with a heavier rim to improve grip when mixing or serving. These bowls are glazed in a Floating Blue glaze that is bright blue where it is heavier, particularly on the inside, and turns to a deep green where it is thinner.

Handmade stoneware pottery and arts reconnecting us to what is soulful and sacred. I am a former Presbyterian pastor (PCUSA) of nearly 17 years; still ordained but now exploring new forms of theology and ministry. My theology has evolved into a very open, "historical-critical" interpretive theology that longs for more interfaith dialogue. Essentially, it asks how we can be more fully human, which means more loving and more peaceful. I hope my pottery and art will reflect that theology and encourage others to explore the depths of their spirit too.

One of the exquisite characteristics of pottery is that it brings the richness of the earth shaped into beautiful forms into your home to be used every day. The clay I use is stoneware clay which is fired to cone 5 (mid-fire) and it has pulverized pieces of other fired clay in it to give it grit and texture, because as we know, life requires grit and texture even as we seek to shape it into something beautiful and colorful.

I ordered custom sacramental ware— communion chalice, paten, and pitcher and matching baptismal font and pitcher. I was surprised how affordable these custom made items were. Mr. Long was extremely easy to work with and professional. The finished items were delivered exactly when promised. Most importantly they are a beautiful addition to the sanctuary and barring a terrible accident, the church will be blessed to use them for many years to come. Thank you!

i am extremely pleased with this project. It is beautiful and just as I ordered it. Brent was easy to work with and professional. The project arrived right on time, although I was worried that it wouldn't get to me on time. I would work with this artist again

I absolutely love my new communion set, it is stunning and so unique with the inscribed words "Grace" on each piece. I can't wait to use it for the Lord's Supper. I am so grateful that no one else will have this set because it is one of a kind. I am very happy with the process as well, it was worth the wait. This is an amazing Grace set!
