Maple And Walnut Jewelry Box

The jewelry box is a wonderful design and, overall, the workmanship was precise. I would have given it five stars except for a couple of issues: two of the three drawers were difficult to open, the top one was almost impossible to move. My husband, who is quite handy, was able to fix them but, considering the cost of this jewelry box, he should not have had to do that. Also, one corner of the lid was damaged. Sure, the damage was minimal but it was clear that the lid had been banged against something after it was finished but before shipping, as the shipping box was showed no damage and the box was well-packed in bubble wrap. I sent a note to the artist but had no response, which is disappointing. Again, considering what we paid for it, an acknowledgement - at the very least - would have been nice.

George has been wonderful to work with. He is very responsive and keeps us informed of the status of our project. The piece is beautiful.

My dartboard cabinet project arrived on time and at budget. Communications were clear, helpful and on point at every step of the the process from design to shipping. I would absolutely work with Mountain Top Woodcrafts again and can recommend them without hesitation.

Just received my custom made dart board cabinet from Mountain Top Woodcrafts and all I can say is "WOW!". Better than what I was expecting. Meticulous attention to detail. George is very professional, both in his craftmanship and in his communication. It was a pleasure to deal with him and we will not hesitate to deal with him again in the future. THANKS GEORGE!

The simple but elegant well made walnut box lined to house an antique family mirror for my daughter's graduation is perfect and came in before deadline. The maker kept in touch regularly and answered questions promptly. It was a terrific way to get the project done.

This project went exceedingly well. George communicated his progress regularly, with plenty of pictures. George actually finished ahead of schedule, although I was not able to drive up to pick the item up until the week following. The cabinet is beautiful, at a great price. Very pleased with the cabinet. This was custom sized for my specific application and George was very easy to work with. He provided CAD drawings, including a few iterations to finalize, to confirm exact dimensions. Finished cabinet was of excellent quality and craftsmanship. Communications throughout the project were outstanding.

I couldn't be happier with this project. The jewelry box was beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I was pleasantly surprised when it was completed earlier than expected and delivered in pristine condition. Fabulous experience!!

I could not be happier with the way George Lawton worked with me to realize my idea for this jewelry box that I will give to my wife on our wedding day. George's ability to translate my rough sketch and phone description of what I was looking for into this beautiful and ingenious work of art is much better than my highest hopes. He first sent me a very clear and professional drawing for my approval, then gave me a price that was lower than I was expecting. He sent photos halfway through the construction to give me an idea what it would look like, and finished the box well ahead of schedule. It arrived yesterday, and I could not be more pleased. I can't wait to give it to Michelle, and I look forward to seeing it full of her jewelry deep into our old age.
