Maple And Walnut Jewelry Box

The jewelry box is a wonderful design and, overall, the workmanship was precise. I would have given it five stars except for a couple of issues: two of the three drawers were difficult to open, the top one was almost impossible to move. My husband, who is quite handy, was able to fix them but, considering the cost of this jewelry box, he should not have had to do that. Also, one corner of the lid was damaged. Sure, the damage was minimal but it was clear that the lid had been banged against something after it was finished but before shipping, as the shipping box was showed no damage and the box was well-packed in bubble wrap. I sent a note to the artist but had no response, which is disappointing. Again, considering what we paid for it, an acknowledgement - at the very least - would have been nice.

The simple but elegant well made walnut box lined to house an antique family mirror for my daughter's graduation is perfect and came in before deadline. The maker kept in touch regularly and answered questions promptly. It was a terrific way to get the project done.

We couldn't be more pleased with the gorgeous, oversized jewelry box George created with burled maple and black walnut. He was a pleasure to work with and kept me up to date on this Christmas gift. My wife loves the piece he crafted. It arrived ahead of schedule, and well packaged. I would not hesitate to have George create other projects in the future.

George did a great job completing the task, and worked with me every step along the way. Would definitely work with him again!
