4" X 4" Cherry Box With Engraving

I could not be happier with the way George Lawton worked with me to realize my idea for this jewelry box that I will give to my wife on our wedding day. George's ability to translate my rough sketch and phone description of what I was looking for into this beautiful and ingenious work of art is much better than my highest hopes. He first sent me a very clear and professional drawing for my approval, then gave me a price that was lower than I was expecting. He sent photos halfway through the construction to give me an idea what it would look like, and finished the box well ahead of schedule. It arrived yesterday, and I could not be more pleased. I can't wait to give it to Michelle, and I look forward to seeing it full of her jewelry deep into our old age. My custom made armoire is better than anything I could have ever found pre-made online. George was very patient and experienced as he guided me through my first time purchasing custom made furniture. I recommend this artist a thousand times over. I am proud to look at my pieces and think of the artist who created it. I'm sure my grandchildren will love it one day.

The jewelry box is a wonderful design and, overall, the workmanship was precise. I would have given it five stars except for a couple of issues: two of the three drawers were difficult to open, the top one was almost impossible to move. My husband, who is quite handy, was able to fix them but, considering the cost of this jewelry box, he should not have had to do that. Also, one corner of the lid was damaged. Sure, the damage was minimal but it was clear that the lid had been banged against something after it was finished but before shipping, as the shipping box was showed no damage and the box was well-packed in bubble wrap. I sent a note to the artist but had no response, which is disappointing. Again, considering what we paid for it, an acknowledgement - at the very least - would have been nice.

George was easy to work with and the finished product is beautiful. My husband is going to love having a handmade, original piece of woodwork for to house his new dartboard.
