One Ceramic Pencil Holder Desk Organizer / Ceramic Toothbrush Holder

$60

Desk accessory pencil holder or….. whimsical handmade ceramic vase with pastel circles is just the right size to hold a liquid soap pump bottle and dress up any room you keep it in. This polka dot oval container is such a versatile form. It can also be used to hold flowers; it can hold toothbrushes in the bathroom, or pencils and scissors on a desk, kitchen utensils, and I'm sure there are other uses. I made this from white stoneware clay, forming it a 5.5" high x 4" x 3" oval shape. I used pottery stains for the colorful design which includes flowers, bees, and often creatures like rabbits, horses, fox, bear, crow, etc. If you have a preference for color and design, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll choose the prettiest one from my current stock and ship it out to you. It's very durable and may be cleaned in your dishwasher. I signed it on the bottom rim.

I am a studio potter who works in porcelain and stoneware creating one of a kind, functional pottery including whimsical teapots and tea cups, bowls, casseroles, plates, tumblers, platters, vases and tiles.

I have studied under such renowned potters as Clary Illian, Lorna Meaden, Chris Gustin, Steven Hill, Diana Fayt, Meira Mathison, Sylvie Granitelli, Julia Galloway, Bonnie Seeman, Sarah Jaeger, and Sandi Pierantozzi. From each of these wonderful artists, I usually take away a new technique or way of creating that I then incorporate into my own pottery voice.

I am a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans and work with this group on an annual Soup Bowl Supper fundraiser, a holiday sale, summer farmer's market, and educational programs.

In March 2013, my work was featured in the e-commerce publication of Better Homes and Gardens.

My work isalso featured in Best Of America Pottery and Woodworking Artists & Artisans Vol.1 by Kennedy Publishing. And it is featured in the November 2010 issue of AARP magazine.

In April 2009 I was one of the speakers at the national clay conference (NCECA) in Phoenix talking about online selling.
