Handmade Ceramic Berry Bowl Colander On Leaf Dish, Fruit Bowl

$125

This wheel thrown ceramic berry bowl colander is a beautiful way to store and serve fresh fruit and berries. It's actually a strainer or colander that I put holes into while the clay was soft. I made the tray that it sits on by rolling out clay and impressing a cabbage leaf into it for texture. The glaze on the leaf and the leaf decorations on the legs of this berry bowl is a pretty translucent celery celedon while the rest of the bowl is glazed in your choice of yellow, aqua blue, red, purple, dark green, light green, or orange or a wildflower design like shown in the first photo. Choose from the drop down menu if you have a color preference. If it is in stock, it will go out right away. If not, I'll need a couple weeks to get one made and glazed for you. This berry bowl will hold 2 pounds of berries and is approximately 5" high x 7.5" across. I signed the leaf on its bottom. Microwave and dishwasher safe. If I have

I am a studio potter who works in porcelain and stoneware creating one of a kind, functional pottery including whimsical teapots and tea cups, bowls, casseroles, plates, tumblers, platters, vases and tiles.

I have studied under such renowned potters as Clary Illian, Lorna Meaden, Chris Gustin, Steven Hill, Diana Fayt, Meira Mathison, Sylvie Granitelli, Julia Galloway, Bonnie Seeman, Sarah Jaeger, and Sandi Pierantozzi. From each of these wonderful artists, I usually take away a new technique or way of creating that I then incorporate into my own pottery voice.

I am a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans and work with this group on an annual Soup Bowl Supper fundraiser, a holiday sale, summer farmer's market, and educational programs.

In March 2013, my work was featured in the e-commerce publication of Better Homes and Gardens.

My work isalso featured in Best Of America Pottery and Woodworking Artists & Artisans Vol.1 by Kennedy Publishing. And it is featured in the November 2010 issue of AARP magazine.

In April 2009 I was one of the speakers at the national clay conference (NCECA) in Phoenix talking about online selling.
