Set Of Two: Handmade Pottery Bowl With Handle Or Soup Mug, Latte Cup

$130

This listing is for a set of two cups. Start collecting a series of these brightly colored, carved design handmade pottery soup mugs and you'll have a colorful and attractive table setting. I made this ceramic bowl with handle on my pottery wheel out of white stoneware clay and added a colorful design to the exterior which includes colorful flowers and bees and often a woodland creature like a bear, fox, wolf, crow, owl, rabbit, etc. I used pottery stains and glazes for the color and sealed it all in with a translucent glaze. This bowl will hold around 3-4 cups of your favorite food and is 3" high x 6" across. It's beautiful with food in it or as a stand alone piece on your table or counter top. It's very sturdy and can withstand use in the oven, dishwasher and microwave. If you have a design or color preference, please leave me a message. Otherwise, I will choose the two prettiest ones in stock and ship them right out to you.

I am a studio potter who works in porcelain and stoneware creating one of a kind, functional pottery including whimsical teapots and tea cups, bowls, casseroles, plates, tumblers, platters, vases and tiles.

I have studied under such renowned potters as Clary Illian, Lorna Meaden, Chris Gustin, Steven Hill, Diana Fayt, Meira Mathison, Sylvie Granitelli, Julia Galloway, Bonnie Seeman, Sarah Jaeger, and Sandi Pierantozzi. From each of these wonderful artists, I usually take away a new technique or way of creating that I then incorporate into my own pottery voice.

I am a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans and work with this group on an annual Soup Bowl Supper fundraiser, a holiday sale, summer farmer's market, and educational programs.

In March 2013, my work was featured in the e-commerce publication of Better Homes and Gardens.

My work isalso featured in Best Of America Pottery and Woodworking Artists & Artisans Vol.1 by Kennedy Publishing. And it is featured in the November 2010 issue of AARP magazine.

In April 2009 I was one of the speakers at the national clay conference (NCECA) in Phoenix talking about online selling.
