A very popular design! Let me create for you a custom, solid aluminum Chinook salmon sculpture 24 inches long and 10 inches high. Inspired by Pacific Northwest Coast Indian Haida and Tlingit designs. Can complete in 3 to 4 weeks. Has a life-like glass fish eye that taxidermists use. Take a look at these photos to build your own design. They include a spawning Chinook salmon with red-orange fin accent colors (photos 1 and 2) and blue fin accent colors (photos 3, 4 and 5). You get to pick (1) right or left-facing direction and (2) accent color on the fins (red-orange, blue, or black like the body). Order more than one and create your own school! Convo with me if you have any questions. Can complete within 3 to 4 weeks from when you place your order. Hand shaped and formed from a repurposed, thin aluminum sheet using metalworking chisels, punches, hammers, and mallets. The 25 gauge aluminum sheet was originally to be used for roof flashing. I paint the traditional patterns with black and red or blue oil-based paints. A copper wire is attached for hanging. Signed by the artist on the back. You will be amazed at the light weight of the aluminum (no heavy hanging hooks needed) and how its chrome-like, mill-rolled finish reflects the light. Use and care: This piece is designed to show indoors, or outdoors under cover. Direct outdoor sunlight may cause the inks to fade. Sent by Priority Mail within the United States, so it will get to you in 2 to 3 days! Due it's large size, cannot ship it internationally (very costly).

Mark Noll from Nature Art Studios and Art Guitars has been creating this metal art for over thirteen years and loves to experiment with different designs, tools, and patina finishes. In that time, the fish, marine mammal, bird, dragonfly, butterfly, and guitar pieces have made their way to patrons all over the country and around the world.

His most famous patron is the legendary rock guitarist Slash, who received one of the guitar sculptures as a tenth anniversary gift from his wife Perla. It now hangs in his home studio.

Mark grew up on Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts. As a boy, the shoreline and ocean were his constant companions.

Fascinated by the Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, he attended the local college intent on becoming a marine biologist. As fate would have it, the research vessel, an old fishing boat, was always broken down and getting an internship at Woods Hole was nearly impossible! To help pay for college expenses, he began creating marine animal sculptures that made their way to the New England and Baltimore Aquariums’ gift shops.

After college, he and his bride Wendy made the journey to Oregon and he put his art on hold to pursue a professional career and raise a family. The need to make art persisted and he has now found a home creating nature sculptures using repurposed metals.

Mark did a very nice job on this piece. The project didn't turn out quite as I had anticipated, but he did a good job with the amount of detail required.

I can't describe how pleased we are with Mark's work. The project, four fishermen sculptures, was a little odd in some ways and yet the result was better than we had hoped for. Thank you!
