This is a one of a kind medieval dragon stained glass art piece. Made mostly of Kokomo glass, this large custom piece is one of a kind and a truly stunning example of fine craftsmanship that would look great hanging in your window. The actual glass is 24" diamater and with the custom twisted lead came boarder/frame, it measures about 25" in diamater. This was done with the copper foil method for everything except small U-Channel came on the outside of the glass. Most of the dragon has a copper petina and the rest of the piece is black patina. Both the front and the back of this piece look equaly impressive. The glass was chosen for this piece to try and represent some realistic colors and give a sense of depth to the piece. The pieces of the sun, the firey sky and the blue water all have a realist flow to them. Careful thought went into select the exact piece of glass that would best fit into the over 180 pieces of glass in this art. The custom made hangers in the back are securily soldered into place and could be hung inside or outside. The chain can easily be replaced with something more decoritive if you desire.

I love to make custom one-off stained glass pieces. Even if I try and make the same thing twice they are never truly the same.
Since as long as I can remember, I've always liked building and creating things. I've never been able to consider myself an artist until I started working with stained glass. I could never draw anything other than straight lines with the help of a ruler, painting only if I copied it from something else. But mechanical things always came easy to me. Taking a piece of raw steel, some wire, glass, rubber and plastic and making something with a purpose, taking individual pieces that meant nothing by themselves and creating something that did something other than just look pretty on the wall, something that moved, something that transformed energy into something else. I found that working with glass does this to me.
Tell me your story, tell me why you want your art piece made, give me inspiration to make something that will continue your story for all those that see our work.

For Sun catcher or small stained glass piece :)Vince was great to work with! He worked to make sure he understood what I wanted, discussed design options openly, & kept me updated with progress points. I will work with him again without a doubt!

For Theresa's GlassworkI would recommend Vince for ANY project, small or large! He was able to take a picture which had great significance and duplicate it into a splendid suncatcher! I also had the choice of a more costly version which had much more detail, or a less costly version with less detail. He was SO PATIENT as I made my decision, and went out of his way to ensure he created exactly what my family & I wanted. He was so reliable with feedback, and responded swiftly, answering all of my questions with humor, approachability and pure knowledge!! He took many pictures of the finished products, from all angles and in many settings, ensuring we were happy with the finished product. He even allowed me to share personal information about the person it was being created for so that he could put his positive energy & intentions into the product. This was so comforting, as the suncatcher was for the loss of a sister, and the photo was of her last trip with her husband, so the gift was able to relay such personal meaning. I was even able to include a personal note to be sent with the finished product. I will DEFINITELY use Vince Rinner to help create personal gifts in the future :))

For Stained Glass - SuncatchersI had probably an odd request, to make a stained glass replica of my nursing school pin. Vince took time to ask more about the project, and what I was trying to accomplish, which was central to having such a wonderful finished product. I could not be happier with the result
