This blown glass vase was custom ordered and designed to hold a single gerber daisy. The asymmetric form, when filled with water, balances and has a simple elegance. The vase is handblown, primarily clear with a band of opaque jade green color as an accent. The style is minimal and modern.

Holly Wolf-Mattick makes handmade glass pieces using a variety of glass working processes, including glass blowing, casting, fusing, and cold working. All of the glass work is created as one of a kind pieces and includes sculptural works and decorative objects. Items include vases, paperweights, ornaments, jewelry, coasters, and interior design items such as handmade tile, cabinet inserts, light fixtures, and wall panels. Holly has a good deal of experience creating custom glass pieces for clients and enjoys making work that is specific to a client's space and ideas.

Sep 11, 2016I asked for someone to make a cell out of wood for my husband's 5 year anniversary gift. Holly, a glass expert responded. I was hesitant at first, but she offered options that would incorporate wood as well as create a fun and creative design that I was looking for. She was always professional, offered a variety of options for me to choose from within the price range (some over) I submitted, and was timely at responding to my questions or concerns. I may not have been great at getting back in a timely manner, but she was polite and professional in following up with me to make sure that the project could be created. I truly enjoyed working with Holly and appreciate her patience and assistance with the custommade process. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a unique and creative piece of art.

She sent sample images of previous projects, described the technique she intended to use very clearly, and was open to suggestion on the execution (I chose to go with her expertise, since I have no idea about these things). Holly produced three different options and allowed me to choose the one I liked best, which was a very nice surprise. She was able to adjust my shipping address to work around my needs, and get the pendant to me before I needed it. I will absolutely work with Holly again on future projects.
