Walnut is such a classic wood, is readily available and mills beautifully. This table is finished with a water-borne varnish from top to bottom. I am a Nantucket based Cabinet and Comtemporary Furniture maker with 20 years experience in carpentry. Over the past few years most of my time has been spent making Custom Cabinetry for a diverse clientell here on Nantucket. I work with a mix of responsibly sourced materials and select domestic and imported hardwoods. Currently I am designing and building Modern Furniture in my Nantucket shop. My original designs are most decidedly Modern, Contemporary and Mid-Century.
