Dog Portrait (Of Your Dog)
Handmade in East Walpole, Massachusetts by JT Harding Studios
16 x 16" Oil on Round Canvas This realistic pet portrait was commissioned in memory of my client's golden retriever. She wanted to remember him in his prime and loved a picture of Brooksie playing in the ocean so we used it as the starting point for the painting. I started by providing the client several thumbnail sketches of different compositions and we both decided on the round porthole design. This composition allowed me to capture Brooksie's character and focus on details, like the water dripping off his wet fur and his bone-shaped dog tag.

Hello and welcome to my CustomMade page! I am a classically trained oil painter and big animal lover. Although my primary focus has been on companion animal portraits, I have also been commissioned to paint people, floral still lives, homes/farms, and more. All work is executed on high quality canvas and I only use archival oil paints, medium, and varnish. I can even work with you on framing the work and designing product extensions, like note cards or prints. I am creative, easy to work with, aim to exceed your expectations, and look forward to working with you on your project!
