Custom Kids Bedroom Set
This was a unique and fun project for me. The customer had some great ideas and was a joy to work with. She really wanted something unique for her kids that they could have fun with now and still e functional later. So what we came up with was a bedroom set with a series of platforms, planks, ramps, rope net, and ladder. There is a 3' by 5' platform area for the kids to play. They can either use the ladder with an extended handrail to get up top or use the rope ladder. The ramp from the platform to the 22" by 10 ft plank has rounded grooves for traction if necessary. Then we have a custom ramp/ slide that curves front the plank down to the window seat. There is also a full wrap around the bed and bed frame that is left slightly off the floor so the bed can still move around. All of the wood is knotty alder. All planking and platforms are 2 inches thick for sturdiness. And all of the wood is finished with a clear conversion varnish for durability.
