Stump Table
Here is a stump table made with a local evergreen stump and a walnut top. This is intended to be a dining room table. We actually located and pulled the stump ourselves. Debarked, sanded and finished to get some character and color in the stump. Then for the walnut top we did a frame around the border to help keep the chiseled edge more consistent. This was an economical wall to get a stump table versus buying a stump and the slab walnut with a live edge. Everything was finished with a very durable conversion varnish.
