we are pleased with the finished product. we had to send it back after the drawers didn't open properly and then the handles came off. I believe the maker rushed the job at the end to ship it. I would consider working with the maker again, but not on something as complicated as the jewelry box

Bruce was great to work with! I sent him a letter I wanted engraved and a border design. He was able to combine both and turn it in to a beautiful business case! The wood is quality and the business case is solid- I don't worry that it will fall apart any time soon! I had a great experience working with Bruce. The Murphy Bed that he made is right in line with the specifications I gave, was delivered on-time, and he even helped me attach it to the wall. He sent pictures with the updates, and had great ideas to make the project even better than I had imagined, including using great finishing techniques, hardware and design improvements, and cherry rather than pine, due to intelligent sourcing. It's difficult to imagine a project going better, and I would highly recommend Bruce for other creations.

Bruce did and absolutely beautiful job on our custom jewelry box. We bought a box that was 7" wider than his typical box made from walnut and could not be happier. Everything from the initial order to the arrival went very very well. Timing was as expected. It is custom so it takes the few months that was agreed, no issues there. If you want something made from wood I would definitely recommend Bruce. Communication was great, he is very flexible, even the way it was shipped demonstrated his attention to detail. You can't go wrong with Rat's Wood Creations.
