Transom window created in the Tiffany style of glass crafting featuring four seasons of an oak tree and creek. This pattern was created for a customer's new home using a single photo of an oak tree on their new property. Once the pattern was drawn the sections were traced onto sheets of glass and cut out. Then each of the over 200 pieces was round smooth around the edges to refine the shapes and fit them closely together. The next step was to add copper foil to each one to enable the solder to adhere and form the window. Once all the seams were soldered on front and back a thin metal frame was added for strength and ease of installation. Patina was added to darken the seams and them the window was polished.

I have always worked with oil paints and various crafts but once I took a course in the art of making stained glass I was hooked. Each new project that I start is still exciting to me. Being able to draw a new pattern and then create the piece in glass is very rewarding. I work in the Tiffany style of glass crafting - cutting out each individual piece of a design then grinding, foiling and soldering. (Imagine making a large glass puzzle). I work closely with my customers to insure they are pleased with the design colors and framing .
Each stained glass item will be made to order. Pricing will calculated by size , detail and framing requested. Shipping will be calculated based on zip code and the size of the finished product.

For Custom Stained GlassI am very happy with the ease of communication between Liz and myself. The final stained glass piece looks great and was finished and shipped very quickly. I also received photos while the work was in progress from Liz which I appreciated. The cost of the stained glass piece was very reasonable. Also, the lengths Liz put into packing and shipping the stained glass piece were very professional. Very satisfied!!

For Sun, Moon And Stars Stained Glass WindowLiz does beautiful work and communicates well, as the project progressed, she kept me informed and we discussed color changes on the piece. It turned out perfect! I was impressed with the shipping. A lot of time went into the packaging to make sure the stained glass piece wasn’t damaged. I highly recommend Liz.
