Mini Stained Glass Window For Teacher As A Gift

$100

Stained glass panel and sun catchers made for the customer's teachers after a concert titled "Stained Glass". The patterns were drawn up based on the insignia from the band's shirts. The glass shapes were then traced on the sheets of glass and cut out. The edges were ground smooth and a copper foil was added before soldering the sections together. The 3 smaller pieces had hooks and ribbon added to the top for display. A wooden stand was hand-crafted (from teak for weight) then sanded and painted. The plaque was then added to the front of the stand. All pieces were cleaned and a black patina was applied to the seams before polishing.

I have always worked with oil paints and various crafts but once I took a course in the art of making stained glass I was hooked. Each new project that I start is still exciting to me. Being able to draw a new pattern and then create the piece in glass is very rewarding. I work in the Tiffany style of glass crafting - cutting out each individual piece of a design then grinding, foiling and soldering. (Imagine making a large glass puzzle). I work closely with my customers to insure they are pleased with the design colors and framing .
Each stained glass item will be made to order. Pricing will calculated by size , detail and framing requested. Shipping will be calculated based on zip code and the size of the finished product.
