Koi Fish On Metal
koi Fish on stainless steel is part of my oil on metal collection. I burnish the stainless before painting on it. When light strikes the metal it creates a 3D effect as if the fish are swimming through light or water. The effect changes as the viewer moves around the artwork.

Painting on metal allows for a magical effect to take place that is not achievable with canvas. Sasha grinds on the stainless steal panel before painting on it. When light strikes the metal it creates an illusion as if the subject mater is immersed in light. This effect is constantly changing with lighting and as the viewer moves around the artwork much like a hologram.
