Tall Red Dragon Beast Sculpture
The beast is made of polymer clay that has been sculpted and textured by hand. The crater texture on his back was placed one small dot at a time. He was baked, sanded and primed. I then used artist grade acrylics to paint him with, mostly with burnt sienna, payne's grey, and unbleached titanium. He is antiqued with sepia-tinted graphite paint and sealed with 3 layers of matte varnish. His eyes have an extra layer of satin varnish to make them shine! He carries a strange blue fruit on a metal chain. This clay sculpture is signed and dated on the bottom of one foot. This beast is 8.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches long, and 4.25 inches wide. The strange blue fruit is one inch tall.
