Custom Ceramic Ornaments
Fine white earthenware clay molded by hand into charming original undersea designs, watercolor-glazed and kiln-fired to create charming gifts, unique additions to your collection, or or eye-catching accents for your one-of-a-kind home. You can choose to have me cut each design out in (approx 3"- 3.5") silhouette style as pictured, with cotton hanging cord and mini charm strung through hole drilled at upper edge (without button holes pictured) to hang individually, in a themed grouping, or to arrive at your door tastefully wrapped and ready for gift giving! Hi! I'm a 1-person studio artist, hand-building and hand "watercolor-glazing" fine white clay to create original ceramic wall hanging art & tile, special occasion & holiday ornaments, one-of-a-kind pendants, brooches, and collectable buttons. About half of the time, I make relief sculptures from my handcarved designs, including landscapes, monograms, & logos. The other half of the time you can see me working outside, making impressions into clay with hundreds of garden favorites to create "permanent watercolor art," from a tiny 1" pendant to a 3 foot wall hanging art piece, intricately patterned big leaf bowls, or gigantic bouquet serving trays.
Whether I'm creating a dozen small wearable art gifts, hundreds of ornaments, a single tile impression of a local wildflower, or a striking display piece that features an entire garden, I enjoy doing what I do, love both the feel & the look, and believe it shows.
I work primarily in garden & botanical themes, to which I apply my signature watercolor glaze. I work in fine, white earthenware clay, kiln-fire twice, & employ natural elements from my garden to create one-of-a-kind, organic, appealing & memorable pieces for all interior settings & occasions.
