7 Sakura Buttons White Pink Cherry Blossoms Stoneware Porcelain Handbuilt Ceramic By Gemfox Sra Usa

$16

I love sakura/cherry blossom viewing. Even though the season is short for sakura, I like to enjoy them all year any way I can. Great for jewelry, garments, that finishing touch to a knitted or crocheted project, embellishing hats…These are lightweight, thin ceramic buttons. Individually created, no two exactly alike. Treat them with care. They are not indestructible. Set of 7 buttons. Just over 1-1/4" across. Glossy white glaze with cranberry pink and yellow-orange hand brushed glaze details. Thin, with slight organic curve like a leaf or petal, delicately hand cut and painted. "gem" inscription on the back of each one. Made from a North Carolina clay that is between stoneware and porcelain, so texture is smooth and fine yet earthy and strong. Due to their thinness, please treat them gently. It's up to you if you want to put it through the washer and dryer, but I do not recommend it. Painted with non-commercial glazes formulated at my school and fired to ~2200 degrees Fahrenheit for a vitrified finish. Humbly handmade by me, Gem, in Tampa Bay, FL USA. Imperfections are part of the nature and charm of handmade work.

Self Representing Artisan SRA #F71 in the U.S. specializing in, but not limited to, lampwork glass beads and jewelry, ceramics and pottery, knit and crochet, home-sewn fashion and other handcrafted items.

I work in a wide range of media and styles to fit many needs. I love working closely with clients to achieve something really unique and special whether it's for a gift, business, or personal enjoyment.

I work glass in the torch flame to create ornate beads, wearable art, tiny sculptures, and vessels. I'm known for intricate scrolls and florals on dainty elegant beads. From classic, to formal, to whimsical. I love to explore it all.

I also throw pottery on the wheel and especially love to create practical items with a timeless artful touch. From refined to rustic, form and function. Everyday items for home, kitchen, decor, dining, bar, restaurant, and winery. From long stem wine glasses to a favorite coffeemug. Let's create something special in ceramic that will outlast just about any other material through time.

If you love to cozy up with unique hand knitted and crocheted accessories, blankets, and garments, great because I always keep my hands busy and have yarn and a sticks close by. From baby hats, booties, and toys, to folkwear slippers, elegant scarves, hoods and shrugs. Knit and crochet is an essential part of many fashionistas' wardrobes, and almost all of us grew up with a special handmade afghan or blankie. Let's make it unique, make it personal.

I cannot wait to hear the project you have in mind so I can help bring your idea into reality!
