Green Ash Hand Carved Lidded Jar Heart Leaf Drip Black Interior Wheel Ceramic Stoneware Pottery

$30

Ash Green Ceramic Lidded Jar by GemFOX About 2 3/8" (6cm) in diameter, 2 3/8" (6cm) tall, lidded. Lid is not perfectly round, but it fits the base well without being too tight or loose. Scrolled design is free-hand carved and beautifully filled in with the green glaze, bringing out the detail I put into it. Great for the kitchen: keep loose garlic, spices, sugar cubes, herbs, your wedding ring while you wash the dishes… Around the house, studio, or office - jewelry, coins, paperclips, needles and pins… Any tiny objects that seem to clutter up the scene can be scooped up easily into this handy little lidded jar. I have a similar jar that I put coconut butter into for skin moisturizer. Deep semi-matte green outside, satin black inside. Signed "2012 gem" underneath. Wheel thrown white stoneware ceramic (clay comes from North Carolina), lead-free glazes (mixed at my school) fired to around 2200°Fahrenheit for vitreous watertight finish. Top-rack dishwasher, microwave, food safe. Humbly handmade by me, Gem in Tampa Bay, FL USA. Imperfections are part of the nature and charm of handmade work.

Self Representing Artisan SRA #F71 in the U.S. specializing in, but not limited to, lampwork glass beads and jewelry, ceramics and pottery, knit and crochet, home-sewn fashion and other handcrafted items.

I work in a wide range of media and styles to fit many needs. I love working closely with clients to achieve something really unique and special whether it's for a gift, business, or personal enjoyment.

I work glass in the torch flame to create ornate beads, wearable art, tiny sculptures, and vessels. I'm known for intricate scrolls and florals on dainty elegant beads. From classic, to formal, to whimsical. I love to explore it all.

I also throw pottery on the wheel and especially love to create practical items with a timeless artful touch. From refined to rustic, form and function. Everyday items for home, kitchen, decor, dining, bar, restaurant, and winery. From long stem wine glasses to a favorite coffeemug. Let's create something special in ceramic that will outlast just about any other material through time.

If you love to cozy up with unique hand knitted and crocheted accessories, blankets, and garments, great because I always keep my hands busy and have yarn and a sticks close by. From baby hats, booties, and toys, to folkwear slippers, elegant scarves, hoods and shrugs. Knit and crochet is an essential part of many fashionistas' wardrobes, and almost all of us grew up with a special handmade afghan or blankie. Let's make it unique, make it personal.

I cannot wait to hear the project you have in mind so I can help bring your idea into reality!
