We are delighted with the overall experience with K. Smith Custom Woodworking. Kerry was a great help in initially refining a solution to our dining table needs. His professionalism during the manufacturing of the product was first rate. The finished product exceeded the quality you would experience in a store bought item. We would purchase from Kerry again and not be shy to recommend him to anyone needing a custom piece of woodwork.

Kerry made the most beautiful table for us. He paid close attention to what we needed--a relatively small dining room table for our apartment that would open up to be large when we had the kids and grandkids over. I thought that would be a drop-leaf table, but he came up with a beautiful design that was more clever. He made a gorgeous cherry table that has hidden leaves under each end. When you lift up the top and pull those identical pieces out, they slide into place perfectly and the top drops down this the middle, making an 88-inch table. He was professional, the price was fair, he is clearly an artist and expert, and he chose a great shipper.

We would give Kerry our highest recommendation. He worked with us to custom design a dining table -- he listened actively and completely understood our needs; he was totally open to our many design ideas, and was honest, direct and constructive in the back and forth; he made sure we were comfortable with the final design.

Then he built an absolutely gorgeous piece of furniture. Words cannot describe how beautiful the table is. You have to look at the pictures. He shared pictures and updates with us as it was in progress. All along the way he was courteous, communicative, and responsive in a way that I can only call world class.

Finally, he personally drove the table down and assembled it in our apartment.

Kerry is a gem. Incredibly professional with his clients. And incredibly talented with woodworking.

Kerry's work is top notch and he's extremely professional & easy to communicate with. He worked with me to design exactly what we wanted (a wood live-edge bench of specific dimensions-- we're going to use it as a coffee table). He kept us updated along the way, sending photos of the slab he'd chosen based on our requirements (with a bit of it oiled so we'd get a sense of how the final product would look) and sending a drawing of the placement of the flat steel legs, so we were all on the same page when he began the work. He responded quickly to messages, and the time frame was as described. Most important, the final product is GORGEOUS. Very solid and well-made, quite beautiful. BTW, I marked 5 stars for shipping b/c I had to complete that part to submit the review, but actually we decided to go pick it up ourselves since Kerry's shop is fairly close to us (though delivery was included in the price he quoted us).

The shelves arrived on time but the large shelf was broken and sent back. He was not happy with his handler. It came back in timely manner and it is up and looks great. Did everything to my specifications. Would highly recommend him.
