Framed Cat Print - 18 x 12 Giclee Fine Art Print with Mat - Pearl on Lavender - White and Gray Cat Art- 10% Benefits Animal Rescue This framed fine art print is an open edition giclee made from my original oil painting of a grey and white cat, "Pearl on Lavender". Pearl was a rescue cat from Sanctuary One in Jacksonville, OR. The image size is 12 x 6 and the title of the print and my signature are written in pencil directly under the image. It is matted in a soft white mat (18 x 12), with approximately .25 inches of white paper showing, which makes it appear double matted. It is framed in a simple black wood frame. This piece is professionally and locally printed on fine watercolor paper, using archival inks rated to last a lifetime without fading, and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed and dated by me. It makes the perfect gift for the cat lover, or as fun wall art in a nursery, kids room or powder room. Ten percent of the purchase price will be donated to Sanctuary One to assist with animal care and rescue. Please note that the image of my painting above is protected by copyright law. An reproduction or copying of the image is illegal. This copyright will not transfer with the sale of this work. The original painting won the Gamblin Award for Excellence 2011 at the Irving Arts Association Juried National Fine Art Pet Show. I am an oil painter, focused completely on animal paintings - pets and other animals. I paint from photographs (they must be yours/mine/or others without copyright issues) in a realistic style on bold backgrounds, and enjoy capturing the amusing and endearing expressions of the animal. I departed a 20-year corporate career in 2006 to spend time on volunteer activities and art. I am now the proud mom to four former shelter dogs (a side benefit to volunteering at the shelter) and paint from my home studio (a remodeled carriage house in my backyard) and at the Ashland Art Center on Main Street.
Ten percent of my sales are donated to local animal rescue groups and charities where I am a volunteer - Jackson County Animal Shelter, Sanctuary One, and Equamore Horse Sanctuary. I am also a member of HeARTs Speak, the Ashland Gallery Association and The Canine Art Guild.
