I flipped her image in Photoshop for the painting, not initially realizing that her markings would be reversed - so, this is how Kizzy sees herself! Kizzy was surrendered to Equamore because she had severely bowed legs and could not support the weight of a rider; she was also malnourished and in need of dental care. Kizzy is now healthy and retired with a herd of three other mares and a gelding friend. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of this card and other items featuring this painting is donated to Equamore Foundation, a non-profit horse sanctuary in Ashland, OR, to assist with horse care and rescue.
