Chihuahua Card - Chi Mix - Min Pin Mix - Dog Art - Cinco de Mayo Card - 10% Benefits Animal Rescue This Chihuahua - Miniature Pinscher dog art art greeting card is made with a glossy postcard of my original oil painting "Aye Chihuahua!", featuring Sparky from Sanctuary One. The postcard is secured to the 5 x 7 inch white card with black photo corners, and can easily be removed and sent to a friend. The title of the painting and my signature are on the front of each card. The inside of the card is left blank for your own personal greeting. The back of the card contains printed information about the original painting and indicates that 10% of the purchase price of each card is donated to Sanctuary One to assist with animal care and rescue. See below for exact wording. The card and matching envelope are enclosed in a clear cellophane sleeve for protection. It will be shipped in a 6 x 9 inch manilla envelope with cardboard support to ensure it arrives in good condition. Please note that the image of my painting above is protected by copyright law. I painted him in a sombrero, celebrating Cinco de Mayo as part of the decorations for the annual Sanctuary One fundraiser this year. Sparky is missing some teeth, so his tongue always hangs out a bit like in this painting - such a cutie! The image on the card is also a postcard, which can be detached from the card and sent to a friend. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of this card and other items featuring this painting is donated to Sanctuary One to assist with animal care and rescue. I am an oil painter, focused completely on animal paintings - pets and other animals. I paint from photographs (they must be yours/mine/or others without copyright issues) in a realistic style on bold backgrounds, and enjoy capturing the amusing and endearing expressions of the animal. I departed a 20-year corporate career in 2006 to spend time on volunteer activities and art. I am now the proud mom to four former shelter dogs (a side benefit to volunteering at the shelter) and paint from my home studio (a remodeled carriage house in my backyard) and at the Ashland Art Center on Main Street.
Ten percent of my sales are donated to local animal rescue groups and charities where I am a volunteer - Jackson County Animal Shelter, Sanctuary One, and Equamore Horse Sanctuary. I am also a member of HeARTs Speak, the Ashland Gallery Association and The Canine Art Guild.
