The shadows were pending with the slipping sun as I painted at the trailhead to Crater Lake at the base of the Maroon Bells. The autumn aspens in the lap of the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen, Colorado were starting their slow shimmer as the day began to fade. This is a museum quality reproduction (giclée) of my original oil painting. It is created using archival inks on 100% rag paper. This is a limited edition. Signed and numbered. A Certificate of Authenticity and care instructions are provided. The image is 14 1/4" x 11". Paper size (with white margins) is 16 1/2" x 12 7/8". This item is not matted. It is placed on an acid-free foam core board and secured in a self-sealing crystal clear bag/sleeve. "Maroon, Gold and Copper" is also available in an additional size on paper and as prints on canvas -- all within this limited edition, and as note cards. Please inquire if you are interested and you don't see them listed in my shop. This image is copyrighted by Dru Marie Robert. All rights are reserved by the artist.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME. Ever since I watched my 5 year old brother captivate others with his whimsical, engaging clown drawings, I have been intrigued by the power of image making. It was fascinating to me (a year older) to witness his innate confidence and the sheer delight he experienced when he was creating, -- as well as seeing what he would come up with!
When I picked up my own crayons, I soon discovered an alternate world that one can disappear into when one is putting pencil, crayon, or paint to a blank support with the purpose of creating. This activity, for me, in combination with many road trips traveling and moving as a youngster became not only a ticket into an exploration of creative possibilities but it also provided a means for me to detach so that I could observe and sort out my small life's events while also taking note of and soaking up the world's wonder with my sponge mind.
As an admirer and painter of the landscape and figures, I often say that I am in the business of extending one's memories and special experiences. I render the sites of one's vacations and favorite locations as well as portraits of loved ones, human and animal.
WHAT I OFFER. I am a studio and plein air painter, proficient in oils, acrylic, my own style of mixed media (watercolor and colored pencil), and drawing media. I create originals and sell professionally created museum quality reproductions of my work on paper and canvas. I also create custom, oversize prints of my works on canvas for customers that I embellish personally (in effect, creating a new original that can be quite affordable for the size).
HOW I SERVE. I have worked with the public for many years and am particularly happy when I can listen, hear beyond the words, and deliver exactly, -- or above and beyond, what a customer is looking for. Finding ways to best deliver and please those with whom I collaborate is a huge pleasure for me.
The personal touch is integral to my offerings. Whether my art is created specifically for a customer or not, I interview the client about the space/environment of the new work's prospective home to pick up on the client's preferences and style (and especially if I am involved in the framing process). I often personally hang my completed works of art in my clients' homes.
