Tropical Flowers

Handmade in Fairport, New York by Dancing Light Stained Glass Studio

5.0(38 reviews)

Tropical Flowers is a large, 12"x36" panel, made up of 230 pieces of glass. Depicted are anthuriums, ginger lilies, birds of paradise and heliconias. The clear glass chosen is called 'rainwater' glass, and it looks like the rain is falling gently on the flowers. There is lots of special glass in this piece and highlighted are all of the colours and textures that you would normally see if wandering a garden in the Caribbean. This is an original design. Each piece of glass is chosen with care, hand cut and the panel is then hand crafted using the Tiffany copper foil method. Sturdy hangers are built into the metal frame of the panel and orders come with chain and hooks suitable for hanging the piece. Please note that this item has been sold, but I would love to create another one like it for you.

Whether you are looking for something to brighten up a window or upgrade your kitchen cabinets, stained glass should appeal not only to your sense of aesthetic, but should ignite your imagination. I'll have done my job right when my glass sings to you.

You may choose from one of my pre-designed panels or I can create something just for you and for your space. All pieces are created using the Tiffany copper foil method and, when appropriate, are framed in a rigid, metal frame with sturdy hangers built in to each piece. Wood framing is also available upon request. As a special thank you, I also include hooks and chain so that you'll have everything you need to display your art.

Monique was very easy to work with and has excellent artistic skills. I had a simple concept of what I wanted, and she was able to develop and improve upon that for a great finished piece that will be enjoyed for many years.

The finished stain glass of our family crest was absolutely beautiful. Monique was able to capture our family crest exactly as the picture we sent to her. Monique communicated with us throughout the project and was able to meet our expectations and more. We were particularly fortunate as we were able to make a day trip to pick up our family crest. It was a true pleasure to meet Monique in person. She is a wonderful artist and human being. It was our pleasure to do business with her.
