Very smooth working, sturdy ceramic grinder, the comfortable pear shaped body, the luxurious feel of the wood finish, and the visual beauty of the PatchWood all come together to make this a truly exquisite gift. The wood bodies of these salt / pepper mills are created in, and only available from, the WakefieldWoodworker shop. Artistically made up of individual wood pieces that are hand selected and sized, individually layered, and then stacked laminated, they create a visually stunning patchwork of exotic, domestic, burl, and dyed woods after turning on a wood lathe. Approximate size of the mills is about 2.75" diameter at widest point, and about 4" high. Each mill PatchWood body is hand crafted from different wood pieces of varying sizes, so the pictures are representative - no two mill bodies will be the same. The PatchWood effect beautifully accents any table or counter top. The mills have a Black enameled handle, or alternately a Chrome handle. The ceramic grinding mechanism will last a lifetime, and being ceramic makes them perfect for grinding salt - they will never corrode like metal grinders do over time when grinding salt. While shown as a pair in one of the above listing pictures, the price listed here is for a SINGLE mill. This allows you to purchase just one for single spice use. Alternately, you may purchase two for both salt and pepper mill use.
