Unique styled, hand crafted Pepper / Salt mills meld art with utility. Photo is representative, mills are laminated blanks per client selection of wood: walnut, maple, mahogany, cherry, oak, and hickory. Very smooth working, sturdy ceramic grinder, the comfortable pear shaped body, the luxurious feel of the wood finish, and the visual beauty of the laminated wood all come together to make this a truly beautiful gift. The laminated wood bodies of these salt / pepper mills are created in, and only available from, the WakefieldWoodworker shop. Artistically made up of individual wood layers that are hand selected and sized, then stack laminated, they create a visually stunning gradation of exotic, and domestic woods after turning on a wood lathe. Approximate size of the mills is about 2.5" diameter at widest point, and about 4" high. Each laminated mill body is hand crafted from different wood layers of varying sizes, so the pictures are representative - no two mill bodies will be exactly the same. Beautiful on any table or counter top, these mills sport a Black enameled handle, or alternately a Chrome handle, and a clean acting ceramic grinding mechanism that will last a lifetime. Being ceramic makes them perfect for grinding salt - they will never corrode like metal grinders do over time when grinding salt.     This maker was very easy to work with and very prompt in my delivery. I love the three interchangeable tips. This seam ripper fits my hand perfectly. I do wish there was a little more contrast in the wood - more like the picture on the website; very little black and the stain was a little darker. I do know that it is difficult to show all possibilities when working with wood; they are all different. Overall, I'm very pleased.

    Product was made in great time, however for some reason took a long period to get to me. never the less the darts look great except for my name. I was expecting my name engraved on them, instead they came with some sort of sticker which unfortunately partially peeled off as it also stuck to the plastic packaging. only one out of three still has my name intact.
