The Cork Screw is stored in the stunning Caribbean Rosewood body of the Bottle Opener until needed, and smoothly unscrews for use. The Rosewood wood handles are finished with five coats of ultra-hard lacquer ( similar to what is used on cars ), hand rubbed to a beautiful satin shine, then buffed with pure carnauba wax for our exclusive smooth, silky feel. This meticulous process makes our wood handles impervious to moisture and alcohol , preventing crazing, cracks, and discoloration that other wood handles are prone to. This seam ripper fits my hand perfectly. I do wish there was a little more contrast in the wood - more like the picture on the website; very little black and the stain was a little darker. I do know that it is difficult to show all possibilities when working with wood; they are all different. Overall, I'm very pleased.
