This meticulous process makes our wood handles impervious to moisture, preventing crazing, cracks, and discoloration that most wood shaving razor handles are prone to. And with regards to performance, I already had a wooden pen with touch tip, but it lost inputs a lot on my tablet. This seam ripper fits my hand perfectly. I do wish there was a little more contrast in the wood - more like the picture on the website; very little black and the stain was a little darker. I do know that it is difficult to show all possibilities when working with wood; they are all different. Overall, I'm very pleased.
