I also call this table "Sushi Table," since it is perfect for sitting on the floor with guests, enjoying a small cup of sake and sushi/sashimi dinner. The table is made from two live edge slabs of walnut with bloodwood accents. It is approximately 53 in x 28 in x 18 in high. I would be very happy to make this table for you in the wood of your choice, also with accents of your choice. Let's talk! The set of sushi plates and chopsticks were also made by me of bloodwood, and I would be glad to make some for you to go with your new table, or just the plates if you would like. Please ask about the dinnerware.

I have been working professionally with wood for over 30 years. A native of Montana, I have always had an interest in art and wood working. I majored in philosophy and fine art at university, started a family, worked for the railroad as a carpenter for many years then opened my shop, Timothy's Fine Woodworking in 1982.
I am especially interested in expressing movement in my furniture, as well as exploring the natural elements of the wood. Early on I was influenced by the work of Tage Frid, George Nakashima and Sam Maloof. I often incorporate the live edge of the boards into my tables, and use the natural grain and color of different woods in my designs.
In addition to studio furniture, I also make custom cabinets and other custom furniture. I enjoy working with my customers, listening to what they want, and giving my attention to every detail, from the selection of the wood to the finished design. I try to honor the spirit of the material I use, in the finished pieces.
"I hope my art that people use everyday helps them reconnect to the spirit of the natural world."
