Autumn On Vintage Tilt Top Table

$350

I transformed this vintage tilt top table with an Autumn scene painted in fluid acrylics. Some leaves are painted right up close and well detailed. One large tree and lots of slender ones line the stream in the background. A yellow swallowtail butterfly glides right by! The table stands 37" with the top in the upright position and 26" with the top laid flat. The oval top is 20 1/2" X 14 1/2". Painting something similar starts @ $300 plus shipping and handling. As always, I can paint on your own piece of furniture if desired. Personalized items such as these are at the direction of the client. Every piece I do is hand painted and unique.

I am Sue Banks, a self-taught artist who works in craft acrylics, usually on surfaces that do not require framing, such as furniture, household objects, and stones. I work on anything from vintage pieces to unfinished new items. Many of the projects shown here are examples of past work. Each project is always unique, and most are custom ordered. I work on items supplied by the client or on items procured in conjunction with a client’s request. I specialize in re-purposing items by decorating them with acrylic paint in hyper-realism and Trompe L'oeil style. I paint a very wide range of subject matter from flowers to stones to animals and insects to sneakers to teacups. My work is intensely colored, detail oriented and joyful. I work from actual objects and photos which are often supplied by the client, to create works to a client’s specifications. Working from reality is most effective for trompe l’oeil designs.
