This Original Mixed Media Painting is titled "Feathers". I have always loved birds and enjoyed them as pets as a child….but their feathers went everywhere! When I found these paper feathers it inspired this whimsical mixed media original. This piece is an original mixed media, acrylic painting on canvas. Acrylic paint is combined with several layers of textures and found, vintage like papers and mediums to create a painted collage effect. The painting has different elements, brought together with shades of lavender and gold. Several layers of glossy varnish bring out the layers of colors and textures. The gallery wrapped canvas measures 18"x18"x1.5. It has been painted on all 4 sides so no framing is necessary. All four sides have been painted black so no framing is necessary.
