6-Pack Bicycle Frame Cinch
Honored by Architizer as one of the Ten Best Bike-related Design Innovations of 2011, this leather frame cinch secures just about anything somewhat narrow to your top tube - why not a six pack? Featured in Beer West Magazine, Time Out Chicago, Gizmodo, and more. Originally designed by and for a Hardcourt Bike Polo aficionado, we since learned that this useful item can hold all kinds of things to your bike. The strap is adjustable to hold variably sized items. One of our customers uses two to hold her kayak paddle! As bike polo mallet holders, these bundle together mallet cues and secure the mallets to your bike's top tube. Bike polo tested and approved! Besides being devilishly stylish, the mallet cue holder will keep players honest on which cues they should use and organizes mallets so players can easily see which game is next. This listing is for one frame cinch/mallet holder -- please note that it takes two mallet holders to secure long items like the mallets (or a rake or a shovel…) to your bike. Not recommended for us on women's/mixte frames with diagonal top tubes. It works best on a top tube that is parallel to the ground. Your frame cinch will be custom-made and will not look exactly as pictured. The leather pictured here in the first four pictures is honey. Hi, I'm Geoffrey Franklin. I'm an 8th generation Oregonian, born and raised in Beaverton and Weston, Oregon. I graduated from the University of Oregon Architecture School. I run Walnut Studiolo with my wife, Valerie. I design and craft all the products in my workshop, and Valerie runs the business side.
Bicycle accessories are my core focus but I love good design, as an architecture student, and I loved learning how to work leather as a medium. Eventually I also started enjoying the juxtaposition of leather and wood. In these products, I'm expressing my love for good design, architectural concepts, and natural materials in products that I would want to use myself…and I do use myself. I field-test all my products until I'm comfortable with them before listing them on our shop.
