Seat Barrel Bag

A stylish leather seat bag for your bike, designed with classy antique steamer trunks and St. Bernard barrels in mind. Also called "The Seat Trunk" Hand-finished, hand-stitched thick and stiff vegetable-tanned leather attaches to your bike with leather straps that thread through the seat rail, Brooks seat springs, or through saddle eyelets. Comes with a second attachment point to help secure the bag, which is optional to use: a set of holes with a leather cord for a belt-and-suspenders technique. We have tied it around the seat post or through the springs of a sprung saddle, but it can be used in any way that makes the most sense on your bike. You can thread a zip tie through the string holes as a theft deterrent and as a second anchor point. Or you don't have to use it at all. Stays shut with a "common sense" hardware closure. Sides are made of aromatic Northwest-grown FSC-certified cedar. The leather pictured here is dark brown in the 1st and 3rd pictures, and honey in the 2nd and 4th pictures.
