Walk into your favorite bottle market or brewery with a gorgeous lifetime leather six-pack. Featured in Real Simple Magazine, and in Wired and in the Beer West Magazine 2012 Gift Guide, selected by Core77 as of 77 Must-Haves for Hard Times for 2011, and chosen by Chilango Magazine as one of 5 Objetos de Deseo. This stripped-down, minimalist beer box has been unofficially named "The Spartan Carton". Designed to complement the six-pack bicycle frame cinch. This study, reusable six-pack is perfect for those who want to transport their bottles in classic style. Composed of leather rings riveted together and riveted to a central masonite or plyboo (a bamboo "plywood") handle. I designed the leather rings to create a "basket" around the handle, and spaced wide enough to reveal the bottle labels. The plyboo (lighter-colored) centerboard is shown in the second, third and fifth pictures, masonite (darker-colored) is shown in first, second, and fourth pictures. This minimal and clean design reduces weight: empty, the carton weighs 10 oz. Solid and sturdy, this reusable beer carrier holds up to the rain. Guaranteed* to make beer taste better. (*This is not a guarantee.) COLORS: Honey, Dark Brown, Black STYLES: Masonite, Plyboo MATERIALS: Bridle leather, masonite or plyboo, nickel-plated steel hardware DIMENSIONS: 9" x 5.5" x 8.5". The rings are designed to hold (6) 12oz bottles. MONOGRAMMING: Yes! This item can be monogrammed with up to 4 characters. If you'd like a monogram, please also purchase this monogram listing. Hi, I'm Geoffrey Franklin. I'm an 8th generation Oregonian, born and raised in Beaverton and Weston, Oregon. I graduated from the University of Oregon Architecture School. I run Walnut Studiolo with my wife, Valerie. I design and craft all the products in my workshop, and Valerie runs the business side.
Bicycle accessories are my core focus but I love good design, as an architecture student, and I loved learning how to work leather as a medium. Eventually I also started enjoying the juxtaposition of leather and wood. In these products, I'm expressing my love for good design, architectural concepts, and natural materials in products that I would want to use myself…and I do use myself. I field-test all my products until I'm comfortable with them before listing them on our shop.
My goal is to make high-quality, beautiful, durable, and most of all functional solutions to everyday problems. Thank you for buying small and handmade. I put my heart in everything I make.
