Kintsugi is the act of repairing broken ceramic ware with gold or metal. This is a traditional method used in Japan for repairing ceramics, meant to celebrate the cracks with beautiful gold embellishment. With that said, the Kintsugi Treasure Vessel is one of a kind. No two vessels will produce the same cracks. Materials for this project are simple. All that is required is clay (stoneware or porcelain) and my handy Kintsugi repair kit. The Kintsugi Treasure Vessels are meant to be functional art. Beautiful cups, tea pots, or vessels meant that are meant to be used as well as admired. All materials used are food safe but not dishwasher safe. Please hand wash for extended life.
