What better way to update your home than by adding custom made draperies throughout. This set of cafe curtains was custom made for a rather large project I have been working on to totally remodel a guest home throughout. Listed are the curtains we designed for a small kitchen window. …… This beautiful print is called Birdwatcher. The specs are 56" width with a repeating vertical pattern every 24.75" and repeating horizontal pattern every 27.75". …..We chose a lightweight muslin from JoAnn Fabrics for the lining. As you can see, it has a very clean and neat appearance. ….The window these curtains were created for is 38" X 21". We allowed 20% more width to make up for the bunching the pleats make in these shorter curtains. Seven (7) inch pleats were used to create the fuller look of the curtains. ….I have listed one pic of a close up of where a seam is joined so you can view how the pattern should look in matching to make your seams almost invisible. . When ordering fabrics it is very important to know these details as they make a different in having enough fabric to ensure your seams are matching patterns. I have not shipped this set yet so I have not added the rings, which you can opt to use pleat hooks if you wish. This customer chose the rings for the particular look she was going for. I base my pricing on my labor involved. I do not charge for any running around to make purchases, research time, or making the patterns. My labor time begins when I lay the fabric out to begin cutting and ends when I have completed the sewing. Even at this, I have never charged for my full labor; I allow for repeat time, which is when I have to take something out and redo. This particular size curtain with its details ran 5 hours @ $15. per hour for the labor totaling full labor cost at $75.

Born in the late 50's to a family of little
means of income, being resourceful was
a way of life. Whether playing on the red clay hills

our bike down gravel roads pretending to be in the circus,
life was always full of adventure.
Life has brought many hardships my way
but with each I have learned that only I limit myself.
Life is a challenge, of which I am a survivor

I love to be creative no matter what I'm doing.
God has blessed me with joy through sewing, writing,

I want to be the best that I can be
in whatever I am doing.
That is why I try my best to treat each customer like they
are the only one I have. I want them to know I care about
more than selling…I want to know they are more than pleased
with the item(s) they buy.
If you have purchased or simply corresponded
about a future purchase from GabbiGirlz and
have been more than pleased with us, please

May God bless you richly, draw you closer,
love you deeper, and keep you forever.

For Smoke Alarm Costume ProjectI am a Reserve Firefighter and Public Educator with the Bullhead City Fire Department (BCFD) and part of the Clown Troupe. Our Clown Troupe performs a new show for all of the elementary schools in our area twice a year. For our newest show we needed a smoke alarm costume to put an exclamation point on this year's Fire Prevention Week slogan: "Smoke Alarms Save Lives!" We reached out to the CustomMade community and thankfully met Kathy Lee who created a masterpiece for us.
It was an absolute privilege to work with Kathy Lee (GabbiGirlz) on this project. She did an absolutely amazing job making our smoke alarm costume! She not only worked with our sometimes demanding and detailed needs, but SMOKED every price out there. She also gave extra effort in every aspect of this endeavor… and through the process became PART of our team.
Kathy Lee, on behalf of the BCFD Clown Troupe, I deeply thank you for your time and care. Keep up the good work and we look forward to working with you in the future. Stay safe!
Gratefully,
Tanker
