In researching for the Famous Alcatraz Prison Shirt, I found the best resources to be some of the old movies like "Escape From Alcatraz" in which Clint Eastwood starred. Hours of research have gone into remaking this shirt as close to the original in every aspect from the turn down 2 part collar to the stitching on the shirt. The fabric appeared to be a type of cotton, possibly a chambray. This blue chambray is as close to the original as possible. She found the materials and created a wonderful replica that looks just like the original, from the tan corduroy down to the leather toggle buttons and hidden zipper.
