In researching for the Famous Alcatraz Prison Shirt, I found the best resources to be some of the old movies like "Escape From Alcatraz" in which Clint Eastwood starred. Hours of research have gone into remaking this shirt as close to the original in every aspect from the turn down 2 part collar to the stitching on the shirt. The fabric appeared to be a type of cotton, possibly a chambray. This blue chambray is as close to the original as possible. She got the conceptual form of what was needed and was very specific about what I needed to provide. It happened that my dress shrank a bit after the initial wash and she asked me to send it back to her for alteration at no extra cost. Amazing!
