Designed with the active winter family in mind, our ski rack will look just fine in a mud room as well as on an entryway wall, in a closet or in the garage. All oak construction using a large wine stave from one of our barrels. Black hooks and oak stained pegs are added and a reclaimed wood shelf inserted. Then an all-over stain/sealer is applied. Four sets of pegs allow for hanging of four pairs of skis. The built-in top shelf holds all the extras; gloves, sunglasses, lanyards etc. Five hooks at either end and in between pegs hold helmets, hats or coats. Dimensions are 36-38 inches long and 5 inches wide in the back piece that is against the wall. It stands out from the wall approximately 9 inches. Solid all-wood construction. Great Lakes Reclaimed takes great care to maintain the integrity of the each piece and keep the distressed, rustic chic, primitive barn wood look as much as possible. But you must understand that each piece takes on a mind of its own. We will do our best to match the photos but when working with reclaimed lumber you will always get different colors and textures. We use reclaimed barn wood, fencing and pallet lumber to custom build each unit. Handmade Inspired Home Decor
Great Lakes Reclaimed comes from an appreciation of the Great Lakes and Reclaimed Lumber.
Great Lakes Reclaimed was started by my wife Lisa and I in the summer of 2012. Lisa is from Petoskey, Michigan and grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan. Being a builder I have reclaimed lumber from remodel and renovations jobs I have done for customers. We decided to combine our love for the Great Lakes and reclaimed lumber to create products to sell.
This summer of 2014 we moved our shop and home base back to Petoskey, Michigan. It has been great getting back to the waters of the Great Lakes and rekindling old friendships. We have been able to lease a 1600 sf shop in downtown Petoskey. It has been wonderful to have a lot more room to work and store our inventory.
We do sell out of our new shop here in Petoskey. You can find us at 1008 Franklin Street. We are in the old Bay Beverage Building, 3rd door on the far left. Give us a call or just stop in. We are always available during work hours Monday thru Friday 8-4.
